What to Share When Requesting Forklift Service

Start by telling the service team whether you are planning maintenance or reporting equipment that is down.

Identify the equipment

Provide the make, model, serial number and year if known. Share operating hours and relevant service history when available. Explain the symptoms in ordinary language; do not attempt a repair simply to provide more detail.

Explain the situation

Give the site address, contact person and a concise description of what happened. Mention whether the equipment has been taken out of service. Follow your site's safety procedures if there is a possible hazard.

Confirm the next step

Ask the team to explain the proposed service arrangements and what information is still needed. Do not assume a form submission has scheduled a technician or guaranteed a completion time.

Editorial planning checklist — not engineering specifications, legal guidance or commercial terms.
