What to Include in a Forklift Rental Request

A clear rental request helps the rental team understand both the equipment need and the jobsite. Use this checklist before calling or submitting an inquiry.

Gather the job details

Write down the start and end dates, equipment quantity, site address and onsite contact. Explain the main task, load weight and required lift height. If a detail is unknown, say so rather than guessing.

Describe the site

Note whether work is indoors or outdoors, access restrictions, relevant surfaces and unloading arrangements. Discuss delivery and pickup needs before assuming they are included.

Review the quote

Ask the rental team to explain the rate period, usage limits if applicable, transport charges, included services, damage responsibilities and return arrangements. Get the terms for the actual rental; another company's policy is not evidence of Tri-Lift's terms.

Confirm before scheduling the work

A request is not a reservation. Wait for confirmation of equipment, dates and arrangements before treating the rental as booked.

Editorial planning checklist — not engineering specifications, legal guidance or commercial terms.
